Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Sony start shipping systems with dual-core Sandy Bridge

Intel announced the availability of Sandy Bridge back in January, it only started to ship its quad-core chips -- now all the dual-core Core i3, i5, and i7s are ready.
Their was no announcement about this in the CES 2011 but intel has been working with this technology and without much notice it is now finally out. The big laptop manufacturers, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Sony have launched their laptops with Sandy Bridge and has already started shipping them.
