The World's cheapest tablet, Aakash is now available for purchase on the Aakash Tablet official site. The tablet is available at Rs.2,500 (approx. $48)powered with Arm11 – 366Mhz Microprocessor running Android 2.2, the tablet was available for Rs.1,750 ($35) for students with the discounted price from India Government but this is the commercial version of Aakash.
There is one more upgraded version of the tablet available which is priced at Rs.2,999 which is called as UbiSlate 7 (The upgraded version of Aakash) with Cortex A8 – 700 Mhz microprocessor and running Android 2.3. The Aakash tablet is available for order at the moment and the UbiSlate 7 (The upgraded version of Aakash) will be available late January 2012 and can only be grabbed from Aakash's official site, hit the link below for the official site. The tablet is not much powerful as the galaxy tab or iPads but certainly a great budget option and it is running Android so some light weight apps from Android Market will definitely work fine.
