PCs turning into a thing of past, smartphones the new way

For the first time or rather finally the smartphones left the PCs behind. In the recent data by research firm Canalys, the quarter 4, last quarter of the year 2011 saw the smartphone shipments surpassing the PCs.

415 Million PCs were shipped last year compared to the 488 million smartphones. The smartphone sales were hugely dominated by Apple and Samsung and this gap is expected to increase in the time to come, so that day doesn’t look much far when we will only find PCs in textbooks.
Still the time is not much near that you throw your desktop in your room, but you can buy one of those Smartphones.
