Windows Phone Marketplace crosses 70K apps mark, but still a long way to go

Windows Phone 7 is coming up in the smartphone market, especially after the launch of Nokia Lumia and developers are looking a little interested in the Windows Phone market.

Windows Phone marketplace has crossed the 70,000 mark and it is looking to grow up Windows market share with that increased option of apps to choose from.
The Windows phone space is growing modestly with average of 300 new apps adding up every day, Microsoft has confirmed that it has got over 100,000 registered developers. There is a long distance to cover for Windows Phone as it is still way way behind the offerings of iOS and Android with both platforms having around 500,000 apps. It is somewhat good news for the Windows Phone fans, that their favorite platform is increasing.
