RIM is on a fall with decreasing market share of Blackberry

Blackberry was one of the popular smartphone choices a few years back, but things are looking different both for smartphones and RIM. The global smartphone market share of RIM is round about 7%, which is a huge decrease compared to 20% market share during 2009-2010.

Since then things are changing with the increasing demands of Android smartphones and Apple iPhone as usual, RIM has lost its way with the Blackberry smartphones not been able to attract a great number of users.
This might also be because of the availability of alternates to BBM, they might not be better but they do the same stuff at a cheaper price. Here is the report by Statista showing how the time is changing for RIM.
